Open Letter: to President Trump. We need to get the DEI crowd out of BARD, they only want to divide us into categories.

Dear Mr. President:

I’m writing once again to request that you please implement the same anti-DEI policy within the Library of Congress. Specifically, the program that provides free reading services for the blind and reading-impaired people, with regard to it’s book selections.

The NLSBARD program is a valuable service to provide written material in an accessible format. Obtaining current knowledge and information is critical to those of us who are unable to read print, and important to allowing us to participate in our nation’s future. This is why I am begging that you remove the Director, Ben Olson, and other WOKE individuals, so that we may not be subjected to this homosexual/radical feminist agenda, which has taken over the service.

Why Mr. Olson has a separate category for LGBT (gender-impaired) books, he doesn’t abide by this clear division. This way, he is able to trick people into reading this queer material.

For example, I downloaded a book this week called “We Like it Cherry” by Jacy Morris. It’s listed as being about a Native-American tribe that fights a courageous battle on a Alaskan mountain. However, the main character is a Native-American who is supposed to be gay, which hardly seems likely. This book is not listed as LGBT, although it says there are descriptions of sex. Olson does this often, so as to trick straight people into reading this filth. If you read the first several chapters, it’s about a gay man trying to get into the sleeping bag of another man, which is to most readers, disgusting.

If I wanted to get down in the weeds, I could complain about Mr. Olson’s costly plan to implement BARD 2, which is far worse than the previous version. For example, if you now download a book, it takes you back to the beginning of the list rather than where you left off. An average programmer could have fixed this problem in a few minutes, yet, although I notified him of this problem, after a year Mr. Olson has done nothing. Under BARD 2, audio books and refreshable braille books are now listed together, even though most people don’t use both. This wastes a considerable amount of time for patrons, searching for books.

I could complain how he has a category for all sorts of groups, like African-American, Asian-American, Native-American, but no category for White-Americans. This practice by the identity crowd seems only to divide us further. Categories should only be about the substance of the book and not identity, with one exception. And this exception should be LGBT since it reflects a chosen behavior, homosexuality. And frankly most Americans don’t want to be tricked into reading this sick stuff.

Unfortunately, the only way to fix this problem, and restore this program, is to fire Ben Olson and anyone else at BARD who supports this WOKE garbage.

Thank you,
Don Wolfe
